Class 2 HGV Driver

We are recruiting for Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team at our client's busy logistics operation at Motherwell. In this role, you can earn between £732 - £945 per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing, full-time work with a well-established operation. This role involves driving and deliveries to new-build sites, working with fork-lift drivers on sites to unload.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday with a varied start time between 5am and 7am depending on how far the first drop is. The pay rate for this role is £18.30 to £21 per hour depending on experience and licence, with overtime available after 8 hours.

Your Time at Work

In this role, your duties will include:

• Driving an 18t curtain sider to new building sites
• Assisting on site staff with loading/unloading with the assistance of fork-lift drivers following site procedures
• Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks
• Ensuring all loads are secure and legally compliant
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Following all on-site and road safety regulations
• Supporting general site duties where required

Our Perfect Worker

Our ideal Driver will have:

• A valid Class 2 (C) licence (Class 1 also accepted)
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Experience within multi-drop and delivery driving
• A good understanding of health and safety within an industrial environment
• The ability to carry out manual handling tasks
• A reliable and punctual approach to work
• The ability to work independently with a professional attitude
• A flexible and hands-on approach
