We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team at our client's waste management site based in Cumbernauld.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing, full-time work with a well-established operation. This role involves a mix of driving and on-site duties, operating specialist walking floor equipment, and supporting day-to-day site activity.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday with a 6:00am start. The pay rate for this role is £15 to £17 per hour, with overtime available after 8 hours.
Your Time at Work
In this combined role, your duties will include:
- Driving a Class 1 vehicle to transport waste materials
- Operating walking floor equipment safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading materials in line with site procedures
- Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Ensuring all loads are secure and legally compliant
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Following all on-site and road safety regulations
- Supporting general site duties where required
Our Perfect Worker
Our ideal Class 1 Driver will have:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Experience with walking floor or similar equipment preferred
- A good understanding of health and safety within an industrial environment
- The ability to carry out manual handling tasks
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- The ability to work independently with a professional attitude
- A flexible and hands-on approach
