We are currently looking for hosts to join our client, The Loch Lomond Group at the Golf Open in Royal Birkdale from the 12th to the 19th of July.
The Loch Lomond Group is an independent distiller, blender, and producer of some of the finest and rarest Scotch whiskies in the world, as well as a growing portfolio of other premium and super premium spirits and champagne. Their heritage is amongst the oldest in our industry.
As a Host, you'll be the first point of contact for guests attending one of the world's most iconic sporting events. Your presence sets the tone: warm, organised, and effortlessly professional. You'll support the smooth running of the stand, guide attendees, and ensure every guest feels valued.
Your Time at Work
- Being the face of Loch Lomond Whiskies and Ben Lomond Gin at The Open
- Meet & Greet team will be located at bottom of the stairs to check in guests for hospitality and ensure no issues with access
- Manage cloakroom & office usage
- Liaise with bar team, Absolute taste caterers and ensure any service issues are escalated
- Ensure stand is clean, tidy and if any additional support or coverage is needed, utilise floaters or pull from the front
- Sampling out front of the Stand, on-course, at the Gin Garden or out front of The Shop
- Sell G&T cans from our gin bikes out the front of the Stand and the Shop
- Directing customers to Ben Lomond Gin Garden & Shop
- Support in the Ben Lomond Gin Garden, meet & greet at the entrance, talk through the areas of the garden, check customers into various tasting sessions across the week
- General tidying up and supporting other teams if needed
Our Perfect Worker
- Excellent communication and a naturally welcoming manner
- Customer-service experience in events, hospitality, or luxury environments
- Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced setting
- Smart, professional presentation
- Availability for the full event period: 12-19 July
- Must be over the age of 18
Key Information and Benefits
- Must be available between 0930 - 1900 between 12th - 19th July
- £15 per hour
- Food will be provided
- Personal license training will be provided online prior to the event - hours will be paid
