The role – Logistics Customer Service Coordinator

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Customer Service Coordinator to ensure the highest standards of relationships are developed and maintained with a broad client base in relation to operational transport and logistics.

This is a fast-paced role where you will be responsible for managing day to day client engagement in relation to UK wide transport and logistics, your key duties and responsibilities including:

  • Manage customer enquiries and bookings via phone and email
  • Track and liaise with clients in relation to all operational logistics
  • Associated daily operational liaison with teams of drivers
  • Provide fast, effective solutions for time-critical and line stoppage situations
  • Monitor transport movements and keep customers updated throughout
  • Ensure accurate system input, documentation, and job completion
  • Maintain client KPIs and ensure high levels of customer service are effectively maintained at all times

You will have experience as a Customer Service Coordinator and possess first class customer liaison and coordination skills, direct experience within a transport or freight forwarding environment preferred but not essential. You will have strong organisational and multitasking abilities combined with a genuine ability to communicate with all internal and external stakeholder groups. You will be highly IT literate and be well versed in utilising a range of IT packages – direct experience utilising transport management systems (Roadrunner etc), would be highly advantageous.

Your core working hours will be 5 days office based, Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm.
