We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Operative / Driver to join a local authority team in Renfrewshire. This is a vital role ensuring that play parks and recreational areas are safe, well-maintained, and ready for families to enjoy.

Your Time at Work
Depending on your background and skills you may be involved in the following tasks:
Driving a 7.5t vehicle (CPC and C1 licence needed)
Inspections: Conducting safety checks on play equipment and recording findings via an app.
Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs, such as replacing worn components, lubricating moving parts, and basic assembly/dismantling of equipment.
Surface Care: Repairing rubber "wetpour" surfaces and raking woodchip areas.
Grounds Work: Litter picking, leaf blowing, graffiti removal, and touch-up painting.
Tool Use: Operating hand and power tools including drills, angle grinders, and stihl saws.

Our Perfect Worker
Driving Licence: A valid C1 licence with CPC is preferred but not essential as there are also non-driving duties available.
Experience: A background in outdoor maintenance, landscaping, or a trade-based role using power tools.
Compliance: You must be able to pass a Basic Disclosure check.
Attitude: A safety-first mindset and the ability to work independently in all Scottish weather!

Key Information and Benefits
Pay Rate: £14.68 per hour (£543.13 per week)
Hours: 37 hours per week | Monday - Friday (No weekends!)
Duration: Temporary (Approx. 2 months with potential for extension)
Location: Paisley
Start Date: Monday, 27th April
