Our client is currently recruiting a talented Sales Development Manager who will drive profitable growth by acquiring new business, strengthening and developing customer relationships, and supporting the commercial strategy through technical sales expertise. The role will focus on expanding my client’s UK and EU polymer manufacturing customer base, with particular attention to our specialist White HIPS compounds and wider recycled polymer portfolio.

Please note this role is a fixed term 1 year contract providing maternity cover.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement targeted sales strategies supported by the Commercial Manager and GM to achieve growth and financial objectives.

Promote client’s full product portfolio, with specific focus on White HIPS compounds and associated technical applications.

Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with customers across the UK & EU to identify opportunities for product development and application expansion.

Develop trusted, long-lasting customer relationships based on technical credibility and proactive account management.

Maintain a strong understanding of the UK & EU recycled polymer compound markets, competitor activity, customer trends, and pricing movements.

Provide regular market updates, feedback, and recommendations to the Commercial Manager and GM.

Experience/Skills

Proven experience in a commercial, sales or business development role.

Experience managing a sales pipeline and achieving revenue targets.

Ability to understand technical product information and communicate it effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.

Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.

Ability to work independently and manage own schedule.

Self-motivated, proactive, and commercially focused.

Able to build strong internal and external relationships.
