Maintenance Fitter

Brightwork's client is currently recruiting a Maintenance Fitter who will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide variety of plant machinery with a focus on reactive and planned preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive maintenance to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance levels.
• Overhaul, adapt, and carry out improvements on existing machinery
• Replace bearings, inspect compressors, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, pipework, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding tasks.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the plant and suggest new methods and procedures.
• Complete all documentation to a high standard.
• Carry out basic facility and site service maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical background with Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Mechanical experience, preferably in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and general plant machinery.
• Electrical plant knowledge 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• A flexible, team-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt to different tasks and shifts as required.
• Knowledge in continuous improvement and new working methods.

Monday to Friday

44 hours per week

Day shift week 1, night shift week 2 .
