Brightwork are delighted to be supporting a key client in the appointment of a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant or experienced finance professional to work in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment, providing high-quality financial analysis and reporting.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting the business with accurate financial insight, with a particular focus on inventory control, variance analysis and month-end reporting. You will work closely with both finance and operational teams to ensure robust controls and effective financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory control, analysis and reporting
- P&L variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-end stock reconciliations and gross margin reporting
- Preparation and delivery of key financial and transactional reports
- Works order monitoring and performance analysis
- Ensuring strong financial controls and accurate reporting
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Supporting operational teams with financial data and insight
- Banking, payments and cashbook reconciliations
- Ad hoc project work and PPT returns
About You
- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent industry experience
- Manufacturing experience desirable
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Confident communicator, able to influence and support stakeholders
