Part-Time Bookkeeper

Location: Livingston
Hours: 16–24 hours per week (flexible with days/times)
Salary: £31,000 – £32,000 pro rata DOE 

Brightwork are delighted to be supporting our client, a successful and growing business based in Livingston, in the recruitment of an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their friendly team.

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised finance professional who is looking for a flexible, long-term role within a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping duties including purchase and sales ledger processing.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely submissions.
  • Support month-end processes and assist with management reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and liaise with external accountants.
  • Handle general finance administration and ensure compliance with company procedures.

About You:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within an SME environment.
  • Confident user of Xero accounting software (essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Due to location, a driving licence and access to transport are required.
