The role – Transport Manager

You will be responsible for leading and managing sitewide transport and logistics operations and ensuring all operational activities meet company, client and industry requirements.

You will have a broad range of duties within a dynamic transport and logistics operation, your key duties and responsibilities including;

• Ensuring all daily operational activities are accurately and effectively planned and managed to meet site requirements
• Ensuring all daily operational activities meet company targets in relation to quality, delivery and cost
• Ensure compliance to all transport licence requirements
• Maximise financial performance across all areas of responsibility
• Assist with accurate financial forecasting
• Recruitment, management, mentoring and development of operational staff including drivers and logistics professionals

Ideally possessing a CPC license, a highly experienced Transport and Logistics professional, you will be able to demonstrate proven experience in leading and managing site and associated companywide transport operations. You will be well versed in ensuring all operational activities meet client KPIs and effectively planning and managing transport and logistics operations. You will possess first class stakeholder and client engagement skills and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. In addition, you will be highly IT literate and possess a full UK drivers license.
