The role – Project Management Office (PMO) Planner
Based from either the company’s Edinburgh or Morayshire locations, you will have an exceptional opportunity to undertake the newly created post of PMO Planner, supporting the company’s newly formed Project Management Office to plan and phase projects and programmes across the Global portfolio.
You will have a dynamic, challenging and varied role, your duties and responsibilities including;
- Developing and maintaining a global capital investment portfolio schedule, coordinating inputs from sites within Europe and North America.
- Supporting the Head of PMO in managing and reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and milestones for all global projects
- Supporting the Head of PMO to manage resources by working with Project and Programme Managers to provide accurate resource forecasts
- Ensure alignment of regional project plans with business-wide investment strategies and timelines
- Manage the administration of the company’s 5-year CAPEX investment plan
- Ensure all project data is accurately captured, maintained, and aligned with financial forecasts and strategic goals
- Analyse capital investment data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency
- Create clear, actionable reports and dashboards to support leadership decision-making
- Working with the company’s accounting department to track ROI and project performance, providing insights to improve capital deployment
- Promote standardisation and knowledge-sharing across regions
Ideally degree qualified in a relevant Business Management, Engineering or Project Management related discipline, you will have a wealth of experience as a PMO Planner within the FMCG sector. You will be able to demonstrate a wealth of proven experience in ensuring simultaneously running global projects are planned and coordinated to meet all requirements in relation to quality, cost and delivery. Possessing first class written and verbal communication skills, you will be well versed in managing multiple internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve project goals. Previous working experience assessing and managing complex project data with accuracy and consistency across multiple systems and regions and translating all associated data to provide meaningful business insights is a key requirement. A working knowledge of MS Project (or associated project planning tools) and data visualisation platforms such as Power BI essential. The role will also require travel to sites across multiple locations as project demands require.
