Engineering Manager

Brightwork’s client is currently recruiting an Engineering Manager who will lead a high-performing team of Electrical and Mechanical engineers. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions while fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, leadership, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and other departments to define technical requirements and drive product development.
• Set clear goals and deliverables and regularly report progress to senior leadership.
• Maintain high standards of engineering practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
• Participate in architectural decisions and guide the team on technical challenges.
• Support hiring efforts and help build a diverse and talented team.

Qualifications/Experience

• Formal qualifications within Engineering
• Extensive engineering experience, including proven experienced in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience in delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
• Strong understanding of engineering best practices
• Knowledge of an Engineering system E.G SHIRE
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain top engineering talent.
• Hands-on experience
