Brightwork’s client is currently recruiting an Engineering Manager who will lead a high-performing team of Electrical and Mechanical engineers. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions while fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, leadership, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and other departments to define technical requirements and drive product development.
- Set clear goals and deliverables and regularly report progress to senior leadership.
- Maintain high standards of engineering practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
- Participate in architectural decisions and guide the team on technical challenges.
- Support hiring efforts and help build a diverse and talented team.
Qualifications/Experience
- Formal qualifications within Engineering
- Extensive engineering experience, including proven experienced in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
- Strong understanding of engineering best practices
- Knowledge of an Engineering system E.G SHIRE
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain top engineering talent.
- Hands-on experience
