Position Available: General Manager

Location: Glasgow

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and energetic General Manager to join a well-established hospitality business located in Glasgow.

About the Role:

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring smooth functioning across bar, restaurant, and events spaces. You will provide leadership, support, and strategic thinking to the Front of House team, maximizing operational performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations and quality measures.
• Establish and maintain an operating plan aligned with company strategy.
• Achieve departmental budget and KPIs.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and support the front of house team.
• Identify recruitment needs and oversee team member appointments.
• Deliver ongoing training and development plans.
• Manage service and brand standards.
• Oversee food and beverage operations and quality.
• Produce weekly rotas and manage staffing levels.
• Control costs and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with legislation.
• Provide regular reports and analysis.

Role Requirements:

• 3 years of experience as a Bar/Restaurant General Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of front and back of house operations.
• Extensive food and wine knowledge.
• Strong understanding of cost and labour systems.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with hospitality management software.
• Strong leadership and people skills.
• Good financial management skills.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
• Team player.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional Information:

• The role is based in Glasgow.
• Working pattern is 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
