We are currently looking to recruit a Distillery Warehouse Operator for our prestigious drinks client who has evolved into the world's third largest leading premium spirits company on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

You will ensure warehousing targets are met for quality and delivery, in line with customer requirements and overall business goals, whilst adhering to all company policies. Providing cover for the operation of distillery Pot Ale Evaporator, Biological Effluent Treatment Plant and associated processes, ensuring that distillery production is not interrupted.


Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Follow standard safe operating procedures, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of warehousing, bar-coding and associated processes.
- Study weekly warehouse schedules to ensure stock and resources are available to meet warehouse operations plan and contribute towards effective management of warehouse space to increase warehouse utilisation towards achieving target.
- Manage stocks of new make spirit to meet customer filling programs and work with process operators to manage volumes in ISR and SRWV vats, to ensure space for production
- Maintain cask stock control system (DRAMS), including use of hand held bar-code scanners and bar-code PC.
* Support operation of pot ale evaporation plant, incl. weekly/shutdown cleaning duties.
- Support operation of biological effluent treatment plant, including stock management of associated materials and chemicals.
- Management of internal and external customers, suppliers and logistics.
- Contribute to a safe working environment through hazard spotting, near miss reporting, behavioural safety auditing and participation in site loss control meetings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement processes
- Assist distillery teams as required.


The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent H&S knowledge and will be good team player. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are imperative and you will be able to demonstrate good attention to detail. Previous similar experience is preferred although full training will be given. You must hold a driving license and a Forklift license would be beneficial.

The successful applicant should be prepared to learn other roles within the distillery, eg Mashing, distilling etc.


This is a Fixed Term Role for 12months and salary per annum is £36849.94
