Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Brightwork are delighted to be supporting Pulpex, an innovative and rapidly growing manufacturer of sustainable fibre-based bottles, as they seek to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer for their newly built, state-of-the-art facility in Westway, Paisley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a pioneering business at the forefront of sustainable packaging technology and have a key role within the Maintenance team at an early stage of the site’s operation.

The role – Multi Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer

You will have a varied and dynamic role ensuring plant and equipment readiness and availability within a high-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, performance and safety of manufacturing equipment, site services and facilities across the site. The role provides technical expertise to support operational performance, minimise downtime and improve asset reliability through effective maintenance, fault diagnosis and continuous improvement activities.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

• Carrying out preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance procedures, schedules and standards.
• Diagnosing faults and safely restore equipment and systems to operational condition, minimising downtime and disruption.
• Identifying opportunities to improve asset reliability, maintainability and performance through effective root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Working collaboratively with operational teams, suppliers and contractors to support process improvements and operational performance.
• Supporting equipment installation, commissioning, process changes and new technology introductions.
• Contributing ideas and technical expertise that improve safety, reliability, efficiency and asset performance.
• Ensuring all activities meet company and industry / regulatory HES requirements
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all works undertaken

Your background and experience

You will be a highly experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with proven experience undertaking and managing effective plant, equipment and facilities maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing organisation. You will be able to demonstrate first class fault finding and repair experience with a working knowledge of a broad range of fast-moving production plant and equipment.

This role will be offered on a Pitman Shift pattern and you will be available accordingly.
