Brightwork are delighted to be recruiting Production Operatives / Machine Operators on behalf of Pulpex, an innovative and rapidly growing manufacturer of sustainable fibre-based bottles.
Based at their newly built, state-of-the-art facility in Westway, Paisley, this is an excellent opportunity to join a pioneering business at the forefront of sustainable packaging technology. Pulpex is looking for adaptable, hands-on individuals with previous production or machine operating experience who are keen to develop their skills across a variety of manufacturing and logistics functions.
This is a genuinely multi-skilled role, where no two days are the same. Successful candidates will work across production, warehouse and logistics operations, supporting the efficient manufacture and movement of products throughout the facility.

Your Time at Work
Operating and monitoring production machinery to manufacture innovative fibre-based Pulpex bottles
Ensuring production processes run safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards
Monitoring equipment performance and responding to routine operational issues
Completing production, quality and traceability records accurately
Conducting in-process and finished product quality checks
Managing raw materials, stock rotation and waste reduction activities
Receiving, storing and moving materials throughout the site
Picking, preparing and dispatching finished products
Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
Maintaining accurate inventory and stock control records
Carrying out routine equipment checks and reporting any defects
Following a clean-as-you-go approach to housekeeping and workplace organisation
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving safety, quality and efficiency
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Production, Warehouse and Logistics departments

Our Perfect Worker
Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or machine operating role
Warehouse or logistics experience would be advantageous
Comfortable working across different areas of a factory environment
Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Ability to follow processes, procedures and documentation accurately
Proven ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
Reliable, punctual and committed to achieving team objectives

Key Information and Benefits
Eqvalent hourly rate of £13.74
Approved overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate. Overtime paid when contracted hours are exceeded
6.8 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays
