Brightwork are looking for motivated and customer-focused temporary Field Officers to support the annual electoral registration process. This role involves visiting households that have not responded to electoral registration requests, encouraging residents to complete their forms or register online, and helping to maintain accurate electoral records.

No previous experience is required as full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, meeting people, and providing a valuable public service within their local community. This is a full time role but part time hours may be an option. Please note, you must have a drivers licence and vehicle for this role.

Your Time at Work

As a Field Officer, you will:

  • Visit allocated addresses where electoral forms have not been returned.
  • Speak with members of the public and provide guidance on completing forms.
  • Encourage residents to register online or return completed forms.
  • Collect completed forms and return them for processing.
  • Maintain accurate visit records and handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Work independently to manage your workload and meet deadlines.
  • Attend training sessions and assist with general administrative duties when required.

No experience is required, however we do require the below skills:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work alone.
  • Able to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Diplomatic, professional, and confident when dealing with the public.
  • Committed to confidentiality and data protection standards.
  • Educated to Standard Grade level (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.

Desirable skills:

  • Customer service or public sector experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Business Studies qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak another language.


Key Information and Benefits

  • £15 per hour, paid weekly every Friday.
