This is a first-class opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional within a highly regarded global client, an organisation with a reputation for providing the highest quality of products.
The role – Contract Health and Safety Specialist
You will have a highly varied role and will be responsible for working in a hands-on capacity, conducting audits, identifying compliance gaps, implementing effective solutions, and driving continuous improvement to maintain regulatory compliance and inspection readiness across multiple production and office-based sites.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
- Support all stakeholders to ensure all operational activities meet company, client and relevant industry / regulatory requirements
- To oversee and monitor the HSE activities to ensure all companywide groups are effectively supported.
- Build effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholder groups
- Lead all activities required to ensure the organisation is at a consistent inspection-ready status
- Ensure compliance gaps are resolved and improvements identified and embedded
- Complete formal H&S inspections and audits and produce and update all corrective actions
- Assist in the creation, development and review of risk assessments and method statements
- Complete, oversee and assist with any accident/incident investigations and reports.
- Liaising with local authorities and statutory bodies
Possessing a relevant HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent), you will have a wealth of proven experience managing HSE within a variety of production and office-based environments – previous experience within the FMCG, Drinks or Pharmaceutical industries would be a distinct advantage. You will have proven experience in leading and managing companywide HSE compliance including audits, compliance and embedding corrective actions as required. You will have first class communications skills and be well versed in working independently to drive outcomes quickly, accurately and effectively.
This is initially a circa 6-month contract and you should be available accordingly.
