Brightwork are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our client, a renowned manufacturer in their site in Ayrshire during an exciting period of expansion and growth. 

Working within the Quality Department on a dayshift basis, the Quality Officers responsibilities include:

  • Perform batch release & review of critical quality records.
  • Support QA processes to ensure compliance with required regulations and company policies.
  • Facilitate & support customer, regulatory, internal & compliance audits.
  • Analysis of quality data & generation of quality reports.
  • Support final product disposition & control of non-conforming material.
  • Support the CAPA process, including deviations & customer compliant investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis & appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Coaching and training of production and technical personnel on quality & regulatory requirements.
  • Communicating the requirements of appropriate quality standards, e.g. ISO9001 or GMP.
  • Supplier quality management

Successful candidates will be expected to have a degree in a relevant science, engineering or quality subject and relevant experience within a food/drink or pharmaceutical industry, including experience working within a quality function.  A thorough knowledge of FDA, MHRA, GMP requirements, auditing and legislation is desirable. Other essential behaviours are the ability to work independently, good communication, facilitation skills and attention to detail.
