Food & Beverage/Bar Supervisor

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding entertainment and hospitality organisation as their Food and Beverage Supervisor, responsible for running a newly refurbished and extensive bar area and beer garden within a larger complex featuring ten pin bowling and soft play facilities. You will have an outgoing and energetic personality, with a passion for providing excellent service.

You will have supervisory experience gained within the leisure or hospitality sector and have skills in leading busy bar/restaurant facility. This position will be directly responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals, the running of a busy bar, analysing and understanding budgets and targets, as well as training and maintaining team members for a variety of positions, working alongside the Assistant Manager and General Manager.

Primary role responsibilities include:

  • Create an exciting, fun and welcome atmosphere to ensure a great experience for our guests and team
  • Ensure staff meet the standards of the bar, addressing and correcting bad practice where need be.
  • Maintain back of house and cellar to a high standard
  • Ensure stock rotation is applied when storing deliveries
  • Hiring, training, coaching, developing, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining team members
  • Understanding and accountability for adherence to core standards, HR policies, training, safety requirements, and recordkeeping.
  • Assist in achieving all wages goals on the P&L through appropriate staffing levels and scheduling needs based on individual centre needs
  • Developing and overseeing employee training on POS, service protocols, and operational standards

The successful candidate will have some supervisory experience in the hospitality sector and the ability to work across a 44hrs per week flexible shift schedule, based on the needs of the business/ industry, which will include weekends and holidays. You should have demonstrable skills in leading teams, communication and organisation/time management.
