Project Engineer

Our client is currently recruiting a Project Engineer in the picturesque area of Fort William in the Highlands of Scotland.  As Proejct Engineer you will be responsible for planning, budgeting, specifying and organising projects to improve production and operational performance whilst developing and approving the technical scope for the project with the client. 

 

Accountabilities 

·        Manager their own work and activities, in line with site HSEQ standards.

·        Development, planning and execution of projects across the site which operates on a continuous basis 24/7.

·        Project manage multiple projects concurrently in addition to providing general engineering support to the site.

·        Overseeing project design, management and administration, production of specifications, and design drawings (AutoCAD).

·        Responsibility for maintaining and updating all plans associated with projects.

·        Monitors progress and performance against agreed objectives

·        Evaluates changes that may be required to maintain progress.

·        Manage stakeholder relationships with both internal clients, and external suppliers and contractors. 

·        Ensure project specific management of change is carried out and recorded accordingly, against change register.

·        Ensure Best Available Techniques (BAT) are applied to solutions

·        Ensure compliance of all relevant legislation throughout the duration of projects.

·        Provide Technical and Engineering support to Engineering and Operations functions.

·        Ensure that all employees directly under their charge are aware of their responsibilities regarding HSEQ matters and their obligations for safe working.

·        Discuss working methods with the HSEQ Department and determine adequate safe systems of work.

 

·        Ensure that any contract or site personnel working on their project activity, do so in a manner that complies with site HSEQ standards. 

 

g     Qualifications

       CAD (Autocad)

·        HND in relevant Mechanical/ Electrical subject.
