Engineering Stores Planner

  • West Lothian £26,000.00 - £30,000.00 per annum Type of Job: Temporary

Brightwork are supporting our client in West Lothian with the recruitment of a temporary Engineering Stores Planner. The role operates on a Monday to Friday day shift and will see you working as part of an experienced team, responsible for various aspects of the stores operations.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the computerised maintenance management system ensuring work is generated on time, documentation is linked and reports are generated. You will be managing purchase order requests and provide a stores function to ensure parts are purchased and held for production.


  • Manage all aspects of CMMS by populating with relevant data, generating, and issuing relevant work orders to production and engineering teams.
  • Prepare reports relevant to CMMS and carry out training on CMMS to key personnel as/when required, as well as build and maintain key relationships with CMMS key stakeholders to ensure specified engineering objectives are delivered.
  • Correct usage of ERP system to raise, issue and goods receipt in all purchase orders
  • Maintain a controlled stores area ensuring to correct stock is held and in the correct quantities, in preparation for production.
  • Ensuring correct materials are sourced for environment such as food grade oil, food grade seals, ATEX. Reducing the ongoing maintenance costs by ensuring service is regularly reviewed with suppliers.

Candidates should have prior experience of working in a fast moving, stores environment and ideally have worked with parts, budgeting and engineering.
