Accounts Assistant

Brightwork have an excellent opportunity for an experience Accounts Assistant to join our client, a market leader within their industry at their offices in Edinburgh City Centre.

Working within a busy finance function, the successful candidate will work closely with the Management Accountants, providing them with daily support and acting as a key point of contact for all creditors and suppliers.

Duties will include:

  • Day to day management of creditors, ensuring timely payments are made
  • Entry, matching and batching of invoices
  • Preparing and processing weekly payment runs
  • Processing staff expense claims and reconcile company credit card statements
  • Handling all incoming queries from suppliers, clients and internal staff
  • General administration and finance duties as required

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working within a finance function
  • Have excellent communication skills – both written and verbally
  • Be confident working with all MS Office packages and have the ability to pick up new systems and procedures with ease
  • Experience working with Sage is beneficial but not essential
