My client, a highly successful life sciences manufacturing company, has an excellent opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing a medium sized team to ensure activities within the production area are completed on time, to target and achieved to the correct standard.
Supervise team members to ensure operations are carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, adhering to good documentation practice
Develop & maintain the department KPI’s to improve efficiencies
Identify, implement and sustain process improvements
Responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety associated with the production areas
Effectively manage and support direct reports through performance management, absence, annual appraisals, training and development
Document, support and investigate quality issues using non-conformances, change controls, deviations and implement corrective actions via route cause analysis
Identify, coach and develop individual training plans and requirements for direct reports
Monitor critical process parameters and act on deviations within the manufacturing area to ensure efficient production
Generation and review of in process and quality documentation within production area
Liaise with area leaders, production manager, production planner and Quality Assurance regarding scheduling or quality issues
Ensure Effective communication of company, department and team performance on an ongoing basis by carrying out regular team meetings
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment or similar industry and be confident in their abilities to lead and motivate a team. You must have a strong background in chemistry or chemical engineering, through extensive industry experience or with a relevant degree. You will be confident managing change and be able to grasp a good technical understanding of the products.
