Supplier Quality Engineer

Brightwork’s client is currently recruiting a Supply Quality Engineer for their North Lanarkshire site, supporting the supply chain quality and development activities within the company. Your main contributions will include support and passive knowledge on major material performance issues and to ensure specification requirements.

Purpose of Role

Responsible for supply chain quality and development activities. Support the manufacturing teams to provide support and knowledge on material performance issues. Ensure material issues are investigated appropriately and that root cause is determined and CAPA are implemented and maintained.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the manufacturing team to provide support and knowledge on material performance issues and ensure requirements are aligned to the premium quality operation
  • Contribute to the assurance of packaging quality through engaging in a program of supplier audit, delivery of quality standards and ongoing supplier development
  • Nurture and build action-oriented relationships with suppliers to develop material performance
  • Update and maintain both component quality and delivery standards
  • Maintain supplier audit schedule in line with QMS Requirements
  • Work collaboratively with compliance team to conduct schedule audits in a timely and accurate manner
  • Control incidences of non – conformance relating to product failure

Key Skills:

  • Experience within a quality role in a Manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate / understand data.
  • Educated to Degree or equivalent level.
  • Experience with SPC, Process Control, Quality Control
