Due to expansion in the North Brightwork’s specialist client is now recruiting a Maintenance Planner who will also be responsible for Stores Control.
Time will be split across all sites in Moray Hub circa 3 days Portside/Beyside (main
base) and 2 days Riverside.
Delivery of an effective planning cycle within a reactive environment.
Delivery of Inventory Management Plan.
Day to day management of the stores/goods in and goods out operation.
Complete regular cycle counts and full stock counts.
Optimise engineering stock holding in line with inventory management plan.
Improve part descriptions.
Update and monitor the material codes for all materials on site.
Control minimum and maximum order points with Engineering team.
Attach relevant documentation to each part record including data sheets, ensuring the relevant data is up to date.
Purchase request information and accuracy.
Ensure associated costs are allocated to correct assets.
Administration of the Agility System (Stores control).
Generation of weekly Agility/CMMS plan and carry out weekly PM audits with Maintenance Team
Track completion rates against plan.
Prioritisation of safety and mandatory tasks.
Participate in site planning meetings with forecast future maintenance activities/actions.
Prioritisation of backlog corrective work through functional reviews.
Support and develop reliability centred maintenance (RCM) studies and outputs.
Support the operations team in planning asset care.
Ensure quotes are received and orders raised and approved prior to activity.
Support the Team Leader/Maintenance Engineering Team to deliver technical and production capability.
Actively participate in identifying and implementing initiatives to improve the overall cost
Experience of negotiating and reviewing maintenance contracts / service agreements with external suppliers including regular assessment of performance. Ensuring all work is to standard and resulting
documentation is on the CMMS against the appropriate assets.
Experience of arranging for statutory work such as PSSR, LOLER and Instrumentation calibrations critical to schemes such as PAS110 carried out at the required intervals and clearly documented on
the CMMS system.
Able to negotiate costs and identify potential cost savings. Allocate areas of responsibility and ensure the maintenance plan is transparent and clearly communicated throughout the site team.
Able to assist Maintenance Team Leader to monitor routine service and planned inspection / testing across client’s sites ensuring that necessary works are completed on time and in budget.
Actively participate in continuous improvement exercises, implement projects and monitor progress to completion.
Participate in gap analysis and criticality survey of the agility system and plant. Implement changes as required.
Create PPM tasks ensuring all plant is maintained in line with manufacturers recommendations and to the highest safety / environmental standards.
Closely support the Operations and Maintenance team by assisting in Ordering Tool’s/Equipment that may be required for day-to-day activities.
Ensure accuracy of goods in / out. Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders (accounts, finance) regarding chemical consumption.
Experience of stores management including the use of Agility similar e.g., CMMS Maximo or SAP experience of ERP systems.
Excellent IT skills and knowledge of software packages
Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external customers/suppliers.

Stores/inventory management experience.
HND/Degree in Project Management/Engineering/Chemical
Engineering/Biochemistry or similar A Level/ Baccalaureate /Scottish Highers - including Math’s; Chemistry; Biology
Ideally Prince 2 or similar project management qualification.
